Passion's Game of Basketball

The world cried out; gave an almighty shout,

Calling to all those very brave and stout.

It needed a game, some powerful sport,

For men of all ages to play on a court.

All of these men, both tall and short,

Would compete in a challenge; who's ready to start?

Beat, beat, beat goes my heart with the ball.

Tick, tick, tick goes the clock until I fall.

Pass, catch, spin, jump, and shoot for the sky,

My belief in myself carries me high.

Masters of the game know it's a war;

A great battle fought by warriors of lore.

One season's never enough for me,

It's never enough for my passion's fire.

I try to be all I can be,

But it's never enough for my heart's desire.
