You're too young to know

the truth of the world,

but right now before your eyes it's unfurled.

You're too young to know

the secrets of life;

the Terror, the Pain, the Fear, and the Strife.

You're too young, they say,

you won't understand

just like a child in a far-away land.

You're too young to know

that life leads to death,

that today many people breathed their last breath.

You're too young to know

the dying man's pain

as he thinks that he won't see his child again.

You're too young, they say,

and yet you still know

that your father has left you to drowned in your woe.
