I would do it all again,

I would take it up in arms,

my army’s turning up inside

and their marching on my heart.

You do this to me every time,

You love me when you know you can’t

and if you ever read this...

But I don’t know if you can.

If you’ve ever loved at all,

if you’ve ever felt a thing,

you’d drop all that’s inside,

and you’d just let me be.

I know I won’t see you again,

and you know that I’m in love,

this last time was your last chance,

it was over faster than begun.

You’re not what I thought you were,

you’re no longer you inside,

the loving man that I once knew

is lost and picking up his stride.

I’ve never felt this way,

you can’t take this from me,

I have never loved someone so much,

and I’m happy just to be.

So goodbye the one I used to love,

goodbye the one I used to kiss,

goodbye the life I used to dream of,

I end it all with this.
