What did I do?

What happened?

Dear mother

To make this fall upon my head

To breathe again

To run

Or feel the grass

Yet again between my toes

What happened?

I didn’t ask for this

This like that you gave me

A life of misery

A life of suffering

A life where no one knows

Who I am

Only What I am

What happened?

Obliterate this futile existence

I cannot die

Origin will bring back the alive

I grasp these grains of sand

Yet I cannot feel them slip

Though my fingers

What happened?

Equivalent exchange

That was what they called it

Give a life

Make a life

And your daughter will come back

What happened?

So you tied so hard on brother

A failure was all you strode to

But you spilt every last drop

Upon my blue Corpse

Do or die

You were going to see your daughter

Or Die trying

What happened?

You plead with the Lord

After your body had been so drained

You pressed your hands

To the intricate circle

Writing and symbols

Made to bring back the dead

The forbidden sin was committed

What happened mother?

You cried and wailed at his feet

To give back the life

That you thought was so wrongly taken

So you could see the glitter

You would never see the glitter

Of your Daughter’s eyes

What happened?

To awake to harsh reality

To only find you gone

Drenched in the crimson elixir of life

You had given me what many could not

You not only gave me life

I had a memory

I had a heart

I had life

But you gave me…

He gave be back…

I had a soul

What happened?

To give yourself up for me

So I was never a puzzle missing a piece

I can tell you what happened

Your daughter lives

But she lives empty

Yes momma

That’s what happened
