‘Twas The Week Before Christmas
‘Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the city
Cars were honking and all the stores were busy
Everyone needed to buy the perfect present
And had no time to be pleasant
I sat by my window and watched all about
As people rushed by and started to shout
I tuned it all out and got out of the car
Groaning loudly at my walk that was far
I opened the mall door
Took a deep breath and walked into the store
Upon entering I gasped at the sight
For every item there was a great fight
Items were flying to and fro
I held back a scream and watched the show
Making my way carefully through
I tripped upon many pair of shoe
I saw the exit and let out a sigh
But was hit in the head by a shoe flying by
When I finally woke up
I was soaked by the water from a cup
Sitting up slowly and looking around
I noticed no sound
Taking it all in
I gave a small grin
Everyone was frozen in place
Except for a softly falling piece of lace
I shopped quite happily
And found everything snappily
I that store soon after
So happy I let out a peal of laughter
I gave a small wink
To the man called St. Nick
He waved from the street
And I drove away, singing to a happy beat
Given the best present of all
A stress less day at the mall
