Edge

We dance on moonlight with glitter in our hair
laughing like we’re lunatics, pretending we don’t care
from here the city lights burn like a thousand miles of fire
raging red & uncontrolled in fits of molten desire
& it’s almost perfection, the closest I’ve ever found
& it’s floating all around us, holding you spellbound
& our vision’s blurred & spinning with confusion
nothings real anymore, everything’s just an illusion
so twist me in circles & try to take my life
with words that cut sharper than the blade of your knife
whirling & swirling like a tornado in its youth
collapsing & destroying our last hope of lost truth
flurrying away into a generation of dust
blue with anger & yellow with lust
speaking with conviction in your last chance to defend
clawing & grabbing, but never reaching the end

a/n: line three is from some song...if I remember correctly its by Anastasia & Ben Moody but im honestly not sure…
