Standing in the dark

Standing in the dark

only a few arms apart

walking side by side

Darkness as our guide

The crisp, chill air

we don't talk, no we don't dare

for it will break the quiet city peace

now that both our hearts are at ease

we can finally enjoiy this time

the crickets chirp, sing and rhyme

The thick sweet air that smells like fall

Together in the world we have it all

Right at my fingers on the tip of my tounge

to say that I love you will cause me to run...

It's right therre to say...

But not today...

The Dark surrounds my quiet plea

that you in turn will truly love me

But that is something I won't share

I look at the stars for a nice long stare

But since it's the city and for once we're alone

we press on walking around and roam

Finally we speak quiet and low

just like an alli forgiving a foe

we share a glance, eye-to-eye

Suddenly you blink and sigh.

More to you, and more to me

right now your the only one I see

I see just who you really are

If your running from it, you can't get far

No matter how fast you run

you'll still be frusterated about what you

can't get done.

I'm so tempted to tell you this

that your hapiness is what I miss

But you'll just laugh and tell me

your "Fine"

How many times have I heard that line?

But it's right at my fingers... on the tip of my tounge...

I think I'll tell you then start to run...

But the night is so calm, so quiet, so free

"I love walking Just you and me."
