Ripping gashes,
Faded dreams,
Imaginary friends,
And stupid things.

But, I’m smiling like I mean it.

Unhappy moments,
Frightened inside,
Shooting comets,
I can’t find my life.

But, I’m smiling like I mean it.

I’ve never been so horrified,
I’ve never really cared,
I never realized it,
I’m dying inside here.

But, I’m smiling like I mean it,
Smiling till the end,
If it will make you happy,
I’ll do it all again.

Conversation dried up,
Happiness, no more,
Stupid little reasons,
To make me laugh at chores.

But, I’m still smiling like I mean it.

Scars that never healed,
Are making me succumb to,
All the casualties,
The deaths that never came to.

Oh, keep me smiling like I mean it,
More and more each day,
Yeah, smiling like I mean it,
Make me feel more pain.

Still smiling like I mean it,
All for your good grace,
Smiling like I mean it,
I’ll die another day.

Smile like I mean it,
All for you, my dear,
Smile like I mean it,
Causing screams you’ll never hear.

I’m smiling like I mean it,
All to make you blush,
I’m smiling like I mean it,
Please, beware my touch.
