Straight in a Sea of Curves
Day 2
“Mikayla come on let’s get to school” Sierra yelled up the stairs.
“I’ll meet you outside okay?!” Mikayla yelled back at Sierra.
“Fine, but don’t take all day!” Sierra said heading out the front door and down the stairs.
After about five minutes Mikayla rushed out the door. Sierra and Mikayla both then started to run to the bus stop and they made just in time.
Sierra and Mikayla were on the bus for an hour before they finally made it to school. They entered the school and headed to class but on there way Sierra’s books launched from her hands. Suddenly out of nowhere a tall blonde haired boy flung for the books and caught all of them just before they hit the ground.
“Here you go! Some people in this school can be so rude sometimes.” Said the boy with a warming smile on his face.
“Yeah umm thanks a lot!” Sierra said with a giggle. But before Sierra even got to ask him his name she was drug down the hall by Mikayla. “Oh My Dear God”
“What?” Mikayla asked.
“I think I have just found my prince!” Sierra said with a huge smile.
“Oh snap out of it!” Mikayla said looking at Sierra with a glare. “You’re the one that told me not to ruin our cover.”
“I’m sorry but…I just…can’t help it! He’s gorgeous!” Sierra said while blushing a little.
Mikayla grabbed Sierra again by the hand and drug her to class. All through class Sierra daydreamed. She dreamt of her and her prince together in a white house with a white picket fence. Her and her prince had two beautiful babies and they were very rich and they never ever went poor. But Sierra’s dreams were disturbed when Mikayla knocked her in the head with a notebook.
“What are you doing? The bell rang five minutes ago!” Mikayla yelled.
“I’m so sorry. Did I miss anything important?” Sierra said while rubbing her eyes.
“Yeah the whole frickin class that’s what you missed!” Mikayla still yelled “What were you dreaming about that was so important anyways?”
“HIM!!!” Sierra sighed while again attempting to daydream.
“Stop That!” Mikayla yells again hitting Sierra with the notebook to stop her from daydreaming “Hurry up before we miss second period AGAIN!”
“But I don’t want to go to poetry.” Sierra whined.
“Well deal with it.” Mikayla says forcefully as she walks out the classroom. Sierra grabs all her stuff and heads out the door. She groans all the way to class and when she gets to class Sierra takes her seat next to Mikayla.
“So…Do you know what’s for lunch?” Asks Mikayla “I’m starving!”
“Um I think it might be hot ham and chee…” Sierra faded out as she saw HIM walking through the classroom door. He started over to Sierra “Oh My Dear God!”
“Sierra…Your um drooling” Mikayla giggled.
“WTF?!” Sierra swore looking down at her soaked school book “Oh no my homework is all ruined now!”
“Well it’s your fault for staring and not paying any attention to what your doing” Mikayla scolded.
At that moment, the boy who had flung for Sierra’s books sat right next to her. Sierra couldn’t help but blush terribly. The boy looked at her and said “Ha so we meet again.” Sierra turns slowly to him still blushing.
“Ha-ha I guess so!” Sierra said nervously.
“Hey I never caught your name. I’m Shane.” Said the boy sticking out his hand for Sierra to shake.
“Um my name is…ahh.” Sierra stuttered.
“Ha-Ha don’t you even know your name.” Shane laughed.
“My name...is Sierra.” Sierra said shaking Shane’s hand and glowing even redder then before.
“Nice to meet you Sierra!” Shane said with a bright smile.
Suddenly the bell rang and class had started. Through out the whole class Sierra couldn’t let go of her hand. Mikayla looked over at Sierra and gave her a shameful glare and ignored Sierra the rest of the class.
After an hour, the bell rang and everyone got up and left the class. Shane stopped for a minute then turned to Sierra.
“Well I’ll catch you later.” Shane said still with that bright smile on his face. He then turned and left the room. Mikayla and Sierra gathered their things and headed down for lunch.
“So Mikayla have you seen Joey lately?” Sierra teased but at that moment Mikayla stopped dead in her tracks still staring forward. “Mikayla, hello, are you okay?” Sierra followed Mikayla’s gaze and what she found made her stand up on her neck.
In the middle of the hall were Joey and Shane MAKING OUT. Sierra fell down on the floor faint. Mikayla kept standing there and finally after 5 minutes she collapsed. Next thing Mikayla and Sierra knew they were lying on hospital beds and it was awfully bright inside the room.
“Mikayla! Mikayla wake up!!” Sierra said shaking Mikayla back and forth on her bed.
“Wait...5 more minutes…mommy.” Mikayla groaned as she rolled over and started sucking her thumb. Sierra lay back down and looked at the ceiling. After 10 minutes went by, a tall brunette nurse came running in.
“Oh goodie you’re up Sierra.” The nurse giggled. The nurse came right up to Sierra and checked her temperature. “Hm looks like your doing fine. You can go get ready to go home now.” The nurse handed Sierra a bag with her clothes in it.
“Oh the bathroom is that way dear!” Again the nurse giggled and went over to Mikayla. “Mikayla dear wake up!” The nurse said softly “Deary…you need to wake up! WAKE UP!!” Mikayla suddenly jumped up and fell to the floor.
“Now that’s better!” The nurse said softly again.
“Where am I? Oh god my head!” Mikayla groaned as she pulled herself back up to the bed.
“Well you’re in the nurse’s office. You and Sierra had a mighty bad fall.” Said the nurse. Suddenly Mikayla had a flashback of what happened.
“OH MY F’ING GOD!!!NOOOO WHY? OH WHY OH WHY? NOOO!” Mikayla screamed.
“God she’s such a drama queen.” Sierra said finally coming out of the bathroom dressed.
“Ahh Sierra your back.” The nurse joyfully “Now sit down. And let me check you vital signs and then your free to go.” The nurse grabbed Sierra’s hand and took her pulse reading then she took Sierra’s blood pressure. After she was done, she grabbed Mikayla and did the same to her. Finally it was all over and Mikayla and Sierra were out the door and on their way home. Sadly they missed to bus so they had to walk in the freezing rain to their apartment.
“Mikayla...what happened back there?” Sierra asked quietly.
“I wish I knew. Maybe it was a bad idea after all to come to this school.” Mikayla stated sadly.
They finally made it to their apartment and it was close to 9pm. They both skipped dinner and walked slowly and quietly to their rooms and shut the door.
Sierra couldn’t sleep that night she stayed up watching the rain fall to the ground. Mikayla laid in bed, daydreaming about what had happened that day. It was past midnight before either one of them went to sleep and yet they still weren’t fully asleep.
The End…Well until May 23rd!!!!
