Juliet and Her Romeo

And with the childish tears
dripping down the tiles
Distance equals time,
the ironic smiles pass by.

The abyss in the ink
mixes with those tears.
To the poets mind,
entwining with her fears.

Louder she screams,
harder she sighs.
There is no easy way to
suppress the endless cries.

The frame of their love
lay shattered on the nightstand.
Glass slips through the feathers
while the blood begins to dry.

The silence kills the pain.
Distance equals time.
Who knew that loving someone
could be such a crime?
