Chapter 2: Good Things Come to Those Who Wait
‘Bam, bam, bam.’ I look up from the script I was reading to the door. “It’s open!” I already knew who it was.
I had gotten to know the two other girls very well over the past two months. Well enough to know that only Lyric would bang on my door for no urgent matter. It was just who she was.
“Lili you can’t be serious?” Lyric said exasperously pointing towards my criss-cross form on my bed. Brittnaey just chuckled and sprawled herself across my bed taking my script.
We were all completely different. Brittaney was the wild one with her long shoulder-blade length blue hair. And I don’t mean that clown bright blue. I mean that dark blue that’s like two shades away from being black. She had piercing indigo blue eyes that could probably see into your soul. She was wearing a tattered mini-jean skirt with a slinky black halter-top, both showing her incredible physique that she got from playing volleyball most of her life.
This got me to actually look at Lyric. Her dark brown hair was sleeked back into a ponytail with a slight poof at the top. She had on a black tube top that showed her stomach with silver writing on it and short- shorts.
“No I’m not going club hopping with you guys.” Lyric sighed. “Come on Lili, you deserve at least one night of fun. Please we’re your friends and we just don’t want to see you put yourself in an early grave.” And to top that little speech off, both of them gave me puppy dog eyes. I rolled mine. “Fine.” They dragged me into Brittaney’s room.
By the time they finished, some two hours later, I was wearing long blue jeans with a midnight blue V necked halter top that shimmered and showed a decent portion of my firmly toned stomach. I’ll have to thank Brittaney for that. All those days at the gym training with her has really paid off. My hair pulled into a messy ponytail and my make-up was dark and heavy. I looked good. “Alright let’s get this over with.”
The club was relatively uneventful we danced, conned some poor men into drinks, dancd some more, and finally made it back home around 2a.m. I went to the kitchen and pulled out all the stops: cheetos, chewy chocolate chip cookies, fudge rounds, ritz chips sour cream and onion, twix, skittles, popcorn, sodas, cookies and cream, and strawberry ice creams, in pints and brought them out into the living room.
“Okay your first sexual encounter?” I could hear Brittaney ask Lyric. “I know how cliché this may sound, but it was during my junior prom in the back seat of the prom king’s limo and no I was not the prom queen, or his date. What about you?” She asked Brittaney, taking my goodies and proceeding to shove a handful of skittles into her mouth. “Geometry, I was getting tutored by my math teacher, Mr. Green, and one thing lead to another and the next thing I know I’m bent over his desk with my ass in the air, my mini skirt flipped over my back, and him mounting me from behind. I still remember his shot, hard, throbbing cock slowly pushing its way into my-”
“Okay, I think we get the point.” I quickly interjected. There was only so much I can take. “Well any way I, to this day, still have no idea what the difference is between a right isosoles and an equilateral triangle.”
I laughed to myself sitting down. “What about you?” I heard Lyric ask. I gave her a sideways glance. “What about me?” Brittaney rolled her eyes at my obvious evasion of the question. “When was your first time, duh.”
“Never.” They both looked at me, dumb shock. “You have got to be shitting me!” Lyric started. “You’re too hot not to have.” Brittaney finished. I sighed. “Shut up okay. I guess hotness doesn’t matter when you threaten a guy’s ego now does it?” I stood up and walked into my room.
The dark is comforting. It helps me forget my past humiliation. The pain. In the dark I can be whoever I want without the consequences.
“Ms. Langston can I see you in my office?” it had been a few weeks since I last spoke to Mr. Anderson “I just wanted to congratulate you on getting the internship.” Holy shit! I got it? I actually got it! “You start tomorrow at Earthly Enterprises. Here’s the address. I suggest you find the building today. Nickolas has a bit of OCD when it comes to the punctually of his employees.
OMG!! Can you believe I actually updated!!! Sorry it took so long. I’ll try not to let it happen again.
