Knife, caress me.

With your sharp kiss, draw my blood

And trace a pattern upon my skin

Of love everlasting.

Knife, reveal me.

Part my delicate skin

And unearth the white bone

Glistening in your reflection.

Knife, heal me.

Sever my tendons so I cannot move,

For I will only go to the window

And wait for him.

Knife, betray me.

Hide when he asks for you

And do not so much as gleam

Or all will be lost.

Knife, save me.

Trap my pain in the blood

That runs out of me

And form a puddle of anguish.

Knife, free me.

It hurts too much to live

While he still does.

Loving him this much

Is more than I can bear.

Knife, drink of me.

Take much of my blood,

More than you need

More than I need.

Knife, destroy me.

Slash the pale canvas of my body

To ribbons, and set the whole thing

On fire.

It hurts less than memories of him.

Knife, leave me.

I am too weak to remove you

But I can still feel my heart beating,

And I know that you have failed.

I am doomed to love him.
