The Prelude - September 30th, 2006
(Snow Patrol Inspired)

The desperate prelude cries out
injumbledmassesoncompositionpages.
The heart of it lies on my wings,
having left with my favorite muse.

Restless are my nights, as beads of cold sweat
amplify your distant lilting whispers.
Delusions of you cloud my conscience,
my simplistic innocence remains with you.

Eyes open wide, but you're not there.

Endless days become restless days,
searching in futility for the addictive comfort.
I only wish for you to lay here
and watch that shining polaris with me.

Save me from myself, and we'll run
for our lives through the maze of my mind.
A gentle caress with the sweet touch of a kiss.
Our goodbyes were many a failed attempt.

When thinking of you, a piece of me is missing.
A mournful smile wishes that you could be happy.
