Title: Fantasy
Author: convoluted cartoon
Date written: 1/19

She’s living barren in a fantasy world
The vines dancing around her as she doesn’t see them
Mocking her as she slips to her own world
Between the universes, she’s all maybe and if and suppose that.

The music ringing in her ears
Will they hear? There’s truth somewhere
She cannot confront her fears
And anyway, she doesn’t know quite how to

The radiation of talk clinging her to the city
The urban grimness settling to her like lead
And becoming another barren fantasy
All what she’s seen and not what she could.

She’s tapping out a beat like those of gypsies
Of magicians and not of her fingers on loose leaf
She closes her eyes in math and sees
A black and white relief of castles.
