This tells a lot about Colleen's past and has a lot of the history of the pieces. It also states what's going on throughout the comics.

Chapter Three

Colleen could only see white. Soon it dimmed slightly; shadowy outlines were coming into focus. Within a few minutes her living room came into focus all together, though some of the furniture was still blurred.

“What the hell was that?” she asked as she turned to face Marcus.

“It was a transportation spell. I would think you’re used to such basic level magic,” Marcus explained.

“Spell… magic… what the hell? There’s no such thing as magic. It’s all fairy tale stuff like unicorns and pixie dust.”

“Fake? If magic is as fake as you put it how do you explain how we are here when we were just by the Border Mountains no more then a minute ago.”

“Well… I-”

“And the Mythos armor? You saw Baird’s sword and perhaps even the entire armor.”

“Ok… So maybe there is magic. Anyways, welcome to my home.” Colleen said as she spread her arms out and spun around slowly.

Marcus looked up at her home, not really paying much attention to it before. He tilted his head in question on how strange it appeared to him.

“What is all this rubbish?” he asked as he examined little items on a small dresser.

“There just some little nick-knacks my mother collects. Where are you from anyways? I saw on the TV you and that other guy, Baird, burst from a large stone. How could that have happened?” Colleen asked.

“TV? What is this, TV that you speak of?” Marcus asked, taken back by the words she had said.

Colleen sighed and motioned her hand for Marcus to follow her. She led him to their living room where the big screen TV was. Hanging over the wall was an old bow, handed down her family line from father to son for hundreds of years.

She grabbed the remote and turned the TV on. A cartoon show came on. Marcus gasped and fell back slightly.

“You claim for there not to be magic yet this box shows moving images like a witch’s crystal ball.”

“It’s not magic. It’s called technology. Where are you from anyways?” Colleen asked again.

“I’m from Castle Syn. I am the King side bishop to king Larken.”

“King Larken!?!? Marcus, that was over five hundred years ago. How are you here if you lived that long ago?”

Marcus was silent. He couldn’t believe it himself that it had been that many years since that battle with Baird and the other Altrewians in the valley.

“It must have been our mythos armors. It protected Baird and I from the avalanche and preserved us in time until we were reawakened. It also explains why you remind me so much of Collum. Collum was born in a village by the Boarder mountains and here you are.”

“Who is the Collum person?! You said you’d tell me once we got here.”

“Yes… Collum is you.”

“What?” Colleen asked, taken back by what he said.

“Collum is you, you are Collum. It matters no how I put it. You are the reincarnation of the King side Rook, Collum. Yet now your of no position to be the king side rook.”

“Why’s that?” She asked, still in shock of this information.

“Because you are a woman. You-”

“YOU SEXIST PIG!” Colleen shouted at smacked Marcus across his face.

“Men can only be King side pieces, women are Queen side pieces. You cannot be the King side rook, but you can be the Queen side rook. If Collum was reincarnated as you, then Cassandra must have been reincarnated as a man, it’s the only way to balance out this predicament.”

“What if Cassandra was reincarnated as a women, would there be two queen side rooks?”

“No, you would have to be the king side rook since that is who your part life’s position was.”

“Ok. I know who this Collum person is now, but what’s with all this kind side and queen side stuff. What’s up with the chess reference?”

“Long ago, there was only one kingdom, Sxen. The royal family made two groups that were to keep peace in the kingdom. Both the king and queen had the same pieces; a bishop, knight, and rook. The white pieces that were more of a public figure and war generals; and the black pieces that were more of a secret organizations. They were the ones who stopped wars before they started and silenced rebellion before the words were spoken. There leader was called the black king, Andrew.

“Andrew began to see himself being better then the others. Better then the true king who was Larken’s grandfather at the time. Andrew gathered the other black pieces and began to take over the northern half of the country. They let no army personal escape to warm the white king. Soon the entire northern half of the country to the Boarder Mountains was under new rule with a new name, Altrew.

“Of coarse Larken saw this as high treason and had war with Andrew. During the war, the pieces were used during major battles. Probably one of the most important battles was one the people didn’t know about. Andrew was planning a secret attack and was moving through the border mountains. All the pieces of Sxen went to confront them once we caught word of the attack.

“It was during that attack that there was an avalanche from all our fighting. From what I could tell the Sxen pieces were able to escape except for myself. I was fighting with Baird when the snow covered us. Our mythos armors cocooned us from the snow and froze us in time until we were reawakened now.” Marcus explained.

“Right... So these pieces were the guards of the king and queen?” Colleen questioned.

“More or less.”

“Next question. What do we do next?”

“We find the crystals?”

“Crystals?”

“The original King side bishops created a crystal that would track down the other pieces in case of treason. When Andrew rebelled he destroyed the crystal into four parts for each element. We must find the crystals to find the other reincarnations.” Marcus said.

“Ok. And were would these crystals be hidden.”

“More then likely with their element. Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind.”

“Anything less vague?”

“Sadly no.”

“Then we better get started with the research. C’mon we’ll head to the library.”
