These Tears ( I Just Need)

Sitting here, gazing at the stars alone
And like rain fallen on smooth stone,
My face is wet and yet remains calm
The tears streaming from the bomb
One that leaves only loss and pain
This smile is just a feign

So many people around me
But none of them can see
That what they do makes these feelings worsen
I just need the one person
Who’s not afraid to see me cry
And wipe these damn tears from my eyes

Then walking out of the night
In the crescent moon’s dimming light
You come and just sit with me
Put your head on your knees
As you watch me watching the stars
In the quiet I feel healing return to these scars

I just needed the one person
Who wouldn’t make these feelings worsen
Who’s not afraid to see me cry
And wipe these damn tears from my eyes
I guess I can find that person in you
Maybe that’s something I always knew
