A Roses Pain

written 11/25/05

Eyes water

dripping like rain

trying to bring attention to the feeling of pain

Heart thuds like a thunderstorm

making my face red and warm

I have to hide the pain from you today

hide the pain deep inside

that's the way it has to be,

when something inside me died.

I cannot bring attention to the harm

you yourself can see the blood on my arm

you know what happened you don't have to ask what

all it is is a damn little cut.

A tear slides down my cheek as I look

look for the happy endings like that of a book

My pain is lonliness, I cry black tears

My heart is throbbing from all my fears

What do you do for a wilting rose? Whose

petals have fallen and the thorns froze?

You pick up the peices and throw them away

What's one rose in the garden today?
