Happy lives are full of lies

They’re never what they seem

Fake smiles all the while

Pretend shows can always be seen

Simple displays of affection

Happen without detection

Of all the hate within

Catastrophe and tragedy

Are used to cover up our sins

Distrust among us, brings us to our knees
