Alone…

The word rings hollow,

As I say it in my head,

Over and over again,

It sends a shiver,

Coursing up my spine,

My body goes numb,

My lips grow blue,

I’m surrounded by,

A wide-open sea,

Of darkness and nothing,

Spewing forth from,

The darkest corners of my being,

Totally surrounded and,

Dying of fright,

Because I am,
