Unsaid

Some things are better left unsaid

Said one friend to another friend.

Some things are just too hard to say

They're too hard to control.

She can't tell him how her heart

Stops flat whenever he's nearby.

She can't tell him when he talks to her

All she wants to do is cry.

She can't say she wants to hold his hand

Or kiss his handsome face

She can't say she wants to be with him

Every moment, every day, every place.

She can't show him her poetry

Because it's really bad (it sucks)

Every line is about him

And why she feels so sad.

She's scared of scaring him away

She's scared to tell him why.

She'll keep her secret till she can't

And then she'd rather die.

She'd rather die than lose him

And she'd rather hide the pain.

She'd rather have him never know

How broken her heart has been.

All she wants is to see him smile

That's all she'll ever get.

All she wants is for him to be happy

And hopes he won't forget.

That some things are just too hard to say

They're too hard to control.

But if she could say anything,

She'd say, you're worth dying for.
