Broken girl

In a fucked up world

Where loneliness can go

Unnoticed

And cars whiz by

With foggy windows up

Traffic lights change

But also stay the same

She turns her head

To the left

And cocks a smile

Her heartbeat matches

The pace of

The people walking the street

She stands still

As the world spins around her

Vices help them make it through the day

But create an inner paradox

Forcing an avoidance of mirrors

When she turns to the right

She is smashed by a realization

Individuality is a secret

Everyone is influenced

By innovative inoculations

Of normality

Don’t let that drug

Touch me.
