A/N: This is another old love poem I wrote for that straight girl I liked. The rhyme scheme is just something I came up with. It goes AABBBA. I thought it was kind of fun to play around with.

VALENTINE POEM

Here's a Valentine poem that I'll never send

To someone I wish could be more than a friend

I wish I could say to her "I love you"

And have her respond with an "I love you too"

This dream of mine can never come true

And I desperately wish it would end

--

The only relationship there ever could be

Is me loving her, and her friends with me

If I ever told her how I feel

It would ruin a friendship which is real

This heart of hers I cannot steal

Except in my fantasy

--

I try to say things to her that are really nice

I'm always giving her my advice

I'd give her anything if she'd ask

I'd have to do it while wearing a mask

For now I'll have to be content to bask

In her smile that can melt winter's ice

--

She's the remote to control my mood

Whenever she's happy I feel really good

I want to cry whenever she's sad

If she was slightly pissed I'd be mad

I know I've got it for her really bad

Would I end it even if I could?

--

I've never loved anyone before this

I've never had my first kiss

I've never ever taken a chance

Never asked someone to dance

And yet whenever I catch a glance

Of her, I want all of this

A/N: Just a little note, the first two stanzas were written one day, and the rest of the poem was written the next day. Sometimes a time difference can slightly change the tone or style of a poem. I can't really tell if that happens here. I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on that. Please review, I love all forms of constructive criticism.
