My Imperfect World

It’s just one of those days

Where you feel like crying,

But everyone’s around.

No one will listen anyways.

I sit here with my secret

Of my sister’s coming surgery.

People laugh at stupidity

And I wonder when they’ll quiet.

No one here will listen

To what I have to say.

They go one with their lives

Like everything is perfect.

They don’t know of my fears

Nor of my inner pain.

My Spanish class won’t know.

They’re too busy with themselves.

They feel sorry for movie roles,

But not for my inner pain.

I just want to fly away

And into my own perfect world.
