In the city of Pittsburg, an 18 year old girl, originally from upstate New York was on vacation from classes. Her name was Beast and she had mostly black hair, with bright red roots and a streak of dirty blond, with light blue eyes. She was a high school senior, about to graduate in two weeks. Although she appeared innocent enough, she was on a quest…a quest to find the rarest of animes…Sensei Simia… Yes, she was out to find one about magical monkeys and wouldn’t let such a thing as location influence her.

In this same city lived a 17 year old boy, one that’d been there his whole life. He was known as Flur, and had short brown hair, brown eyes, and dark skin. His quest was identical to that of Beast’s: Obtain a copy of the ultra-rare Sensei Simia…as well as some more Magic cards. Neither he nor Beast knew what lie ahead, but they were about to find out…

At a hobby store situated somewhere in the middle of the city, lay in wait a certain DVD. Beast walked into said store, looking at the shelves- no, not “looking”…”scouring”, that’s the word. Just after she came in, Flur entered, looking in very much the same manner. Soon, his hand touched upon a DVD with a holographic monkey on it. Success! However, there was a problem…another hand had grasped onto the same one! Was this a problem? Well, it wouldn’t have been as much of one had there been more than one copy…

“Would you mind handing that over, please?” asked Flur, tugging slightly on the DVD.

“Not on your life…so I’d appreciate it if you gave it to me instead,” said Beast, also tugging on the DVD.

“No, please, allow me to take it, my dear lady…”

“Oh, but kind sir, I feel that if you take it, it will rot your brain. If you let me take it, I may be doing you a favor.”

“I highly doubt that that’s true, miss.”

“…So?!”

Flur smirked. Ha! She’d made a mistake, had slipped up! He’d hoped that she would have caught on and would be too distracted in trying to correct herself to notice him taking the DVD. However, there was a hitch in this plan…Beast had the DVD in a death grip!

It was then that they began an epic tug-o-war match over the prized DVD, growling at each other and cursing. As they fought, display after display of breakable collectables met an untimely demise. The store owner soon towered over them, fuming. They looked up at him, eyes showing the sheer unadulterated fear that he would throttle them where they stood.

“OUT!” the owner shouted, his face turning a brilliant hue of crimson and his eyes bulging.

Beast and Flur whimpered in unison. They backed away from the shop owner, turned, and ran like crazy. As they ran, they headed in opposite directions. They never thought they’d meet again, but blamed each other for what’d happened…
