Behind the Façade
By:
Rickey Hughes
January 25th, 2007

I’m going under

Trying to find some

Sense of control

Amidst the confusion

Of Love and fear.

Our love is

What others call

The forbidden treasure

Found, plentiful but sinful

Awakening us to a realization

Where we see noting but ourselves

Happy, together, alone.

We look at it as an escape

A way to achieve what we

Have been longing to gain;

A sense of trust, love and

A lover who gives a damn

Rather than heading out

And leaving us cold and alone

Only to hold ourselves in the

Blackness of night.

Our love is forbidden

For there is another

A triangle of love

Neither can ignore and pretend

Doesn’t exist.

For us to truly embrace love

We must first find love within ourselves

And then seek out whom we want to be with.

Let everything else fall in place.

“Shit happens”

For the better…sometimes.

Until then we must enjoy ourselves

And ultimately have to Hide

Behind the Facade

A/N: I am sorry if this seems out of place or confusing. But your best work comes out when confusion is plentiful, does it not? Please read and review and let me know what you think!
