She wants to pull it deeper

Make the blood come faster

And the confusion leave quicker

To be faced with simply emptiness

But every time it hurts too much

She pulls away

She can’t understand why

Her heart already aches for death

Because she lived everyday to see him

To be hugged tightly

And now all she gets are off glances

As he talks to her friends

She can’t just talk like them

The pain when someone grabs her wrist

A constant reminder of what is carved there

She would try her best for him

And laugh when he laughed

Smile when he smiled

But there isn’t enough for them

She’s sure he realized, how perfectly

Their hands fit together

And how nicely she fit in his arms

But that’s not enough for him

Because she was wrong for him

He didn’t see what she saw

But she can’t remember as her vision fills

With the crimson death

Reminding her of what’s happened to them
