The sky fell down to meet us here

Still, somehow, they showed no fear

Dreaming of the deaths they live

Whispering chants of “don’t forgive”

While blood drips from ancient spires

The dolls hung with silver wires

They’ll laugh until their lungs explode

Weighed down by an unspoken code

Screaming as they wish it were

More like how it was in war

Claws scrape against the walls of minds

Hoping they’ll see better finds

As all the while we bleed and die

Suffer as we wish we’d cry

Chained by souls that can’t forgive

Waiting for a chance to live

She’d die a thousand times or more

Just to know what was before

He dreams of hatred, not of hope

Hung up with a guitar string rope

They all knew it was lost back then

Still, they tried, again, again…
