Can you believe it!! Me, Katherine Summers, of ALL people am actually at a completely happy point in my life? Of course, for all of this to fall through, I had to go through a pregnancy and three years of raising an adorable baby boy AND getting pregnant AGAIN!!

So now here I am, twenty-one years old, my nineteen year old brother next to me and my three year old son, Noah, standing up with his father. Yep, I’m getting married to James. And, in my opinion (and Andy’s) it’s about bloody time! I think it’ll be a nice surprise when I tell him tonight that I’m pregnant again. I want to enjoy it for myself right now. Noah was bouncing, his brown hair bouncing as well and his bright blue eyes shining happily as he saw me and started waving.

“You ready, sis?” Andy asked.

“Do you have to ask?” I asked, smirking and waving back at Noah. Andy laughed and hugged me before taking my arm and we started towards James and Noah. I can’t really say that we were walking down an aisle…more like a path. We were outside and I refused to have a carpet rolled down between the sides of seats. It had rained the previous night and the grass still had water clinging to it. I loved it. My dress didn’t even reach my feet so I had absolutely no worries.

“You look beautiful.” Andy whispered.

“Of course I do.” I said. We both laughed. I waved at Sarah, my maid of Honor. Andy had duel roles, walking me down the aisle and being the best man. There was only the five of us, no other bridesmaids or groomsmen. Well six if you counted James’ dad. Who knew that he was a licensed minister?

Girls I worked with and Uncle Jack sat on my side while the band members and some pf James' friends, along with a few family members were on his side. My life was so amazing at this point. Sure, I was kind of sad that Andy had moved out, even if he had only moved a few blocks away and into an apartment. He got James’ old car and James got a new one before Noah was born. Andy now goes to college studying graphic design…go figure.

“So…you two want classic or something more your style?” Phillip asked. I looked at James with a raised eyebrow.

“Our style.” James said, smirking.

“Alright then, everyone sit.” Phillip said. I looked at the guests as they all obediently sat in their chairs. “We’re all here today because my son finally managed to ask the love of his life to marry him…”

“Three years late…” I said.

“If I knew you wanted to do it earlier I would have asked earlier.” James said.

“Sure you would have…” I said.

“I don’t read your mind, kitten.” James said.

“Umm…save the arguments for after the ceremony.” Phillip said. I giggled as James muttered an apology. “Ok so…they’ve written their own vows I believe?”

“Yep.” James said.

“Then you go first.” Phillip said.

“What?” James asked. “I thought we agreed Kat goes first.”

“Alphabetically you go first.” I said.

“What about last names?” James asked.

“Still you.” Andy said. This was definitely our kind of wedding. I laughed and tapped James on the shoulder.

“Wanna go with the plan B vows then?” I asked.

“Plan B vows…ooooh.” James said. He smiled. “That would be easier. Boys.” The band members all jumped up and there was a flurry of activity as they went to their instruments, looked around for the drummer’s sticks, the guitarist’s pick. I couldn’t help but laugh. They were so unprepared sometimes. It didn’t make much sense though because we didn’t need all of them playing. Finally they got it all settled and started. James turned my head to look at him before he sang.

:James:
If I never knew you
If I never felt this love
I would have no inkling of
How precious life can be

And if I never held you
I would never have a clue
How at last I'd find in you
The missing part of me

In this world so full of fear
Full of rage and lies
I can see the truth so clear
In your eyes
So dry your eyes

And I'm so grateful to you
I'd have lived my whole life through
Lost forever
If I never knew you

:Kat:
If I never knew you
I'd be safe but half as real
Never knowing I could feel
A love so strong and true

I'm so grateful to you
I'd have lived my whole life through
Lost forever
If I never knew you

:James:
I thought our love would be so beautiful

:Kat:
Somehow we made the whole world bright

:Both:
I never knew that fear and hate could be so strong
All they'd leave us where these whispers in the night
But still my heart is singing
We were right

:Kat:
If I never knew you
If I never knew this love
I would have no inkling of
How precious life can be

:James:(Together with Kat’s last verse)
There's no moment I regret
Since the moment that we met
If our time has gone too fast
I've lived at last...

:Both:
I thought our love would be so beautiful
Somehow we'd make the whole world bright

:Kat:
I thought our love would be so beautiful
We'd turn the darkness into light

:Both:
And still my heart is singing
We were right

:James:
We were right
And If I never knew you (if I never knew you)
I'd have lived my whole life through

:Kat:
Empty as the sky

:Both:
Never knowing why
Lost forever
If I never knew you

Before you ask, I had actually sung a few songs with the band over the years and had gotten used to singing in front of people. This was definitely a wedding for us. Singing our vows, laughing, being so unprepared, basically winging the whole thing and, of course, arguing.

“Well that pretty much sums it up.” Phillip said. “You two take each other to be your lawfully wedded husband and wife?”

“Say yes mommy!” Noah said. His little voice so excited and happy that everyone laughed.

“Thanks, honey, I know what I’m doing.” I said, smiling at my baby boy. I looked at Phillip. “I so do.”

“Same here.” James said.

“Alright…no objections?” Phillip asked, looking at the guests. “Good…Noah.” Everyone looked at the little boy. He looked shocked to be the center of attention now.

“What?” Noah asked.

“The rings.” Phillip said.

“What rings?” Noah asked. Andy crouched next to him and pulled the rings out of his own pocket before putting them in his nephew’s outstretched hand. “Oh…these rings.” Andy stood up with all of us watching him.

“What?” He asked. “I thought he was going to lose them.” I rolled my eyes.

“Here you go daddy.” Noah said, handing James my ring. “Here mommy.” He handed me mine. The ring exchange, so much less exciting then the rest of the ceremony, then we finally kissed and Andy made gagging noises, causing James to smack him and Noah to pinch him. Then James, Andy, Sarah and I all had to sign some stuff before Phillip finally announced James and I as husband and wife.

“Mommy, mommy, is you gonna tell daddy now?” Noah asked, running over to us later on. James and I were sitting on a bench watching everyone else mingle. I lifted him onto my lap. Ok so I wasn’t keeping baby number two secret from everyone. Noah knew and so did Phillip.

“Tell me what?” James asked.

“Mommy was gonna tell you that she’s pregunt…pragna…” Noah tried to pronounce the word but failed rather adorably.

“The word is pregnant sweetheart.” I said. “And I was gonna wait until tonight to tell him you little spoiler.”

“Opps…sorry.” Noah said.

“Aww I can’t stay mad at you. Not with that cute little face of yours.” I said. “Go find Uncle Andy.” I put him back down and Noah ran off.

“Uncle Andy…still sounds funny.” James said. “So…pregnant again are we?”

“We?” I asked. “Excuse me, who’s the one that has to carry the thing for nine months and go through twenty hours of labor?”

“Point taken.” James said. Noah took forever to be born and he was nearly two weeks overdue. He just did not want out. “So…let me rephrase it. Pregnant again, are ya?”

“And again…excuse me?” I asked. “Whose fault is it?”

“How about I just stop talking?” James asked. “That work for you?”

“Very much so.” I said. I kissed him.

Like I said…this was the first real complete happy point in my life and I have a feeling there’s going to be a lot more.

The End

So yeah, finally they get married. I should have the new story up soon, either later today or tomorrow…hopefully no later then the day after tomorrow, which would be Wednesday. The song used for the vows is If I Never Knew You, it's from Pocahontas.
