Fallacious Expectations

Make me look in my mirror and tell you what I see.

This is what you have made, and this is no longer me.

Social imperfection crammed in a nut shell.

Appearance flawed by this human cast spell.

You saw physical error with every visible glance.

So tie me down and operate as I have succumbed to your trance.

Change the inside and change the out.

Change who I am, change every slightest doubt.

Draw life from my purities and break me down.

Hold my head under and teach me to drown.

Starve me of my wants and divide me asunder.

Force upon me your false reality and drag me distantly under.

Make me only seek what others want to see.

Chain my wrists together and proclaim me unjustly free.

Set my expression on a repeated smile.

Your outer product looks nothing like its inner vile.

Wait no longer to realize what people truly believe.

I’m changed for the worst, so what did you achieve?
