“Message in a Bottle”

I wrote a note and threw it in a bottle.

I corked that bottle and threw it in the sea.

I never thought that bottle would travel so far.

I never thought that bottle would get to you.

That bottle traveled over white caps.

It battled its way through shark infested waters.

It waged its way over thunderous waves.

Through all of those storms it should have lost its way.

But through all of that it found its way to you.

I wrote a note and threw it in a bottle.

I corked that bottle and threw it in the sea.

I never thought that bottle would travel so far.

I never thought that bottle would get to you.

One day that bottle hit land.

A deserted sort of beach with blazing white sand.

As it rolled onto shore the birds looked at it in bore.

Soon someone came and saw in dismay…

This poor little bottle upon the beach.

He picked it up to find it addressed to him.

That bottle found its way to you.

I wrote a note and threw it in a bottle.

I corked that bottle and threw it in the sea.

I never thought that bottle would travel so far.

I never thought that bottle would get to you.
