WINGS

To dream on shattered wings

Is to play with broken strings

The song of life can’t take that

Can’t take shame can’t take

The rutting little rat

That lives to be false and fake

Without the truth and beauty of dreams

To strengthen us like house’s beams

We fall and die in oceans dark

Drown, lose the will to live

No longer fly like dove or lark

Just sink like sadness give.

To give of ourselves, our talents

With others melding, a delicate balance

Tipped by those who hate,

Discourage, take and change

Who come so far to late

To see the pain, we’re out of range.

The wings, the dreams are our words

Those rats who hate are those who

Don’t care, who want to cause us

Pain , but we are the ones with wings

They can’t change us without our

Permission, don’t let them change

You, not even one word. Let your

Wings spread, and fly, because they

never will be able to.
