I stare out my window
and watch the rain fall down
Watching the wind blow leaves
and wonder why you're not around.

I miss your soft touch
and your sweetest kiss
I miss your reassuring hugs
and wonder why it ended like this.

Pain tears me apart inside and out
and I'm filled with sadness and tears
I'm engulfed in my own worries
and I'm drowning in my fears.

The world is filled with silence
as it listens for your return
But as you do not make a sound
My heart begins to rip and burn.
