Am I out of the dark yet…?

I walk upon an earth
Wandering by the path
Not quite lost, but the dark
Can do its wonders on human eyes

In this realm, I am not human
I am more than what I live for
Finally feeling like my life
Has a meaning

I pause to find me gaping
At the end of my world, the light
Peaking at me, a sun so warm
It almost fills me… almost

It was a ray of light that told me
I’m close, and I know this won’t be
The last you’ll ever see of me

I will walk through the darkness
With the hope that someday I will
See you again, with the ray and smile
That won’t almost fill me
Not like the days without me anymore
