Spiteful Recipient…

I am tired of deceitful rhyme

That clings to me time and time

Again in that faithless chime!

Must I error for that pitiless word

To have me at last deferred

To spare me such humiliation…absurd!

For the love of all that I despise,

Rid me of this petulant guise!

…You really hate me, don’t you, skies?

Bugger! Bah, but why should I complain

You’ve yet to force me into writing quatrain…

Unless you’ve another scheme, oh muse of pain!

Eh heh…I guess hating my muse is a good thing? We have that lovely hate-hate relationship that is so conducive to a productive and healthy work environment!

Okay, I’m just going to go lie down now…the insanity’s finally consumed the brainstem.

Laters,

KD
