Nightscape

Alone, a grave

A moral resting place

A headboard, a gravestone

Is leaning, lasting there

And upon the mortal sunrise

A lantern quiet does beckons

And upon the deadly nightshade

Thistle-thorns still glisten

And night the dancing beams do chase

About the standing oak

And light upon my pillow-place

Doth gouge my eyes to see
