Yeah. Sucky poem submitted for school. Enjoy XP

Apathy

Apathy is not felt only by those kids decked in black.

You might’ve felt it a while back.

Back when you were a child who had trouble making friends

Back when you felt numb with that paper cut in your hand

You could almost taste it in that ancient wine.

So flat,

Yet bitter,

And doesn’t taste the slightest bit divine

You feel it in a nippy autumn’s day

Giving you goosebumps out in the playground while you play

An expressionless face is riddled with apathy and indifference

Apathy is shown through a blurry contact lens

Being apathetic is such a bore

If your spirit had value, you’d be poor

So cheer up once in a while

Smiling isn’t at all so vile.

So be glad! Have bliss! Dance and be merry!

Pretty please with sugar on top—and a cherry?
