it would seem
that you and I
can no longer be
if peace must stay
because we all
can not share;
we do not have an
unbreakable bond
and if I were truly
a friend to them;
I would let you go,
allow you to find another
while I watch from afar
then peace can ensue
yet, I am selfish—
I am selfish
I can not let you go
so I must simply hold on
and let all hell break loose
