Fly me away on your poisoned wings
And let me believe in all of my dreams
But even if you said that they would all die
I would still believe them

Tell me you love me in your scathing tones
For even though I know they’re lies
I believe it every time

This bitter sweet romance won’t end,
Though I know your words are promises
Coated with sugary lies,
Because I choose to stay

For while it’s hard to fall in love
It’s harder to admit when you’re wrong.

21st May 2005

For a little while I had a certain love for juxtaposition and oxymoron, and this is one of those short poems where I get to use them and enjoy it.
