Faith on the Brain
-
-
-
Where does, why does faith exist.
Sprouting only when
a trial persists?
Why do those so faithful
Seem beaten down by
the wind?
Trials that shut your brain right down.
Merc'lessly
causing your heart to pound.
Why did I never take the risk
Of
off’ring you my hand?
Us who never dared believe-
We the faithless now
succeed.
Succeed to step up to the plate,
And look our faith
right in the face.
We who now dare to assume
That better things
will grace you soon.
Strug'ling with pain rooted deep within.
When does
elusive faith step in?
Holding your comfort hostage, at bay
Yet
encour'ging your pain.
Seeing you, friend in endless pain
Knowing I can only
watch in vain
Wishing I could fight for you and,
Chase away
your pain.
Us who never dared believe-
We the faithless now
succeed.
Succeed to step up to the plate,
And look our faith
right in the face.
We who now dare to assume
That better things
will grace you soon.
I know right now there is no way I can help.
Right
now you're fighting to find a way out.
Your faith is fading, but has lead mine to light.
It
will get easier, don't give up, keep up the fight.
It's hard but
I've already made it through,
When you get tired I'll be here to
encourage you too.
Watching patiently from close by,
Waiting to remind
you it's ok to ears always ready to listen,
I know now I
should try.
There's only so much I'm able to say
I know you'll
handle it in your own way.
I can't relate, at all I know but,
I'll
be there, I will try.
Us who never dared believe-
We the faithless now
succeed.
Succeed to step up to the plate,
And look our faith
right in the face.
We who now dare to assume
That better things
will grace you soon.
