Title: A Math Misery

Rating: K+ (kids can also relate)

Genre: Poetry/ Parody (just making fun of Math! Because who doesn’t)

Some Note: Oh, I wrote this when I got a flopping mark on the super crappy subject that made me drop off from the honor list. Damn it to hell, I tell you. By the way, there many rhyme schemes that you could find here. I have no time to revise it. The reason? I have an appointment with my bullshit-to-hell Math professor!

A Math Misery

By Hell Phoenix

Numbers, figures and formulas dancing all together

Wickedly mocking the poor student seated in misery

They dance and prance till they control the weather

While the pitiful student awaits in grave tragedy

As the dreaded graduation leers in through days

As the sun continues to show its clinquant rays

As crappy numbers continue to bombard my brain

I slowly lose my sanity and have a major brain drain

With this red failing mark I knew my dream is shattered

Along with my hopes of being honored and revered

All is broken, no more chance because all is clattered

Into hopeless pieces that makes me mentally battered

I kept on answering, reviewing, even hoping

That I’ll pass this phase and make it through

But the finals says my destiny and it’s depressing

To even think about it, it’s simply disheartening

One friend told me to stay positive

But I told her the result is undoubtedly negative

That I’ll flunk my final year of elementary

Now that’s awful-to-hell, what a misery!

But I have to accept this flaw throughout

And instead focus on my strong sides

Like Literature and History

And enhance my skill to show that I’ll soar

But my rational mind insists me to hell

That I have to study until I ring the bell

The ultimate bell of success that glows radiantly

Seated in the threatening throne with much dignity

Now that’s strange I think to myself

Because why study Math when I know I’ll just fail

And again practice with the tedious numbers

Don’t forget, there’s also the sadistic-to-hell teachers

Teachers who are not even worthy to be called such

Because of their inhuman and brutal persona

Their cold stares that freezes me to death

Their alien language, it’s Math, I bet

Now I have to end this piece dramatically

To pay bursting flames in that horrible misery

I therefore conclude that Math makes your brain melt

It robs your sanity, it’s dangerous to your health!
