just some random thought in my head.

-----

The sound of a window

I see you every morning
As you walk up the stairs
Sleepy eyed and dreamy

You stand across from me
Looking my way
But you’re not looking at me

You look past me
Staring out, smiling at everything but me
You never really look at me

But you’ll yell at me
When the steam covers your view
Or the frost sets in, to thick to see through

Sometimes you look through me
You admire yourself
Making yourself perfect for someone else

Sometimes you break me
Sometimes you wash me
But mostly you forget me

Without me, you’d never see
The beauty of the world
You’d be enclosed forever

But still you care not for me
Making faces at me
Then you walk away
