Cover Page: View of Liz sitting on the ground pouting through a magnifying glass.
Page 1: Liz lying on the couch. Lindsay standing looking at her.
Lindsay: Damnit Liz! Why are you so small?!
Liz: What?
Page 2:
Frame1: Liz sitting on the couch pouting.
Liz: There is nothing wrong with being small…
Lindsay: People aren’t normally that small.
Frame2:
Lindsay: It’s not natural.
Liz: Yes it is. I’ve seen plenty of people smaller than me.
Lindsay: Those were children Liz. They don’t count ‘cause they get bigger.
Frame3:
Liz: They were not kids! Remember that little Asian guy we saw on the metro? He was like forty.
Frame4: View of short forty-year-old Asian man standing on the metro.
Page 3:
Frame1: Liz looking pleased with herself. Lindsay looking less happy.
Lindsay: He doesn’t count.
Liz: Why not?
Lindsay: Because he’s illegal.
Frame2: Lindsay smiling, Liz looking worried.
Lindsay: Don’t you know that it’s illegal to be as small as you are?
Liz: No…
Frame3: Dimitri comes in.
Dimitri: You are too small. They will come take you away.
Liz: No they wont, you guys are liars. Big dirty liars.
Page 4: Liz sitting in her room in a corner hugging moose, looking very upset.
Liz: Uh oh, I’m in trouble. Why did no one ever tell me I’m illegal. I don’t want to be taken away. They’ll string me up by my toes until they fall off and then whip me until I dance like a monkey to their elevator music. Worse yet, they will make me do paperwork. It’s a fate worse than death.
I like my toes!
I have to do something to avoid this horrible fate! But what? If only I’d just grown a couple inches more like all the other kids. I would not be having this problem. Unless…
I think it is time for an adventure! Someone out there must know some way I can get bigger. Otherwise there would be more small people.
Page 5:
Frame1: View of Liz packing a bag for her trip, things flying everywhere as she reassure moose.
Liz: This might be a long trip. It might be hard to get people to spill the beans. But don’t you worry. I will write whenever I can. I have every confidence in your ability to hold down the fort while I am gone. Don’t let Lindsay bully you into buying her magic beans. They are just jellybeans… even when she says they aren’t this time…
Frame2: Liz heading towards the door.
Lindsay: Where are you going?
Liz: I have a mission.
Lindsay: Ooo… Can I come?
Liz: No.
Frame3: Liz is gone. Lindsay just standing looking sad.
Lindsay: But I want to go on a mission too…
Frame4: Lindsay talking to Dimitri.
Lindsay: I want to go on a mission.
Dimitri: No.
Frame5: Lindsay sulking on the couch with a tub of ice cream.
Page 6:
Frame1: Liz standing at the bus stop next to an old woman.
Liz: (thinking) That old lady reminds me of my grandma. I bet she knows how I can get bigger. Grandmas know everything.
Frame2: Liz talking to the old woman.
Liz: Do you know how I can grow big and strong?
Old Lady: Aren’t you a sweetie. Just eat your fruits and vegetables every day and you’ll be bigger in no time.
Liz: (thinking) Vegetables…? What are those?
Page 7:
Frame1: Liz standing behind Linda who was sitting at a drawing table working until Liz snuck up on her.
Liz: Linda! I have a problem!
Linda: Gah! Midget, why are you so sneaky?!
Liz: I don’t do it on purpose…
Frame2: Liz talking to Linda while she draws all over the walls.
Liz: Do you know how I can get bigger? The old lady at the bus stop said I should eat lots of vegetables.
Linda: Vegetables? That’s a lie. I was raised on nothing but coffee since I was six and I’m still big.
Frame3:
Liz: Then how did you get to be so big?
Linda: Uh… I don’t know. I just did I guess.
Liz: That doesn’t help me.
Page 8:
Frame1: Linda’s drawing on the wall has turned into a complicated drawing of a cup of coffee.
Linda: Wait… I seem to remember being involved in a freak accident in the science lab while working on a science project in high school. Maybe if we recreated the same environment we could make you bigger.
Liz: That doesn’t sound safe…
Frame2: Linda rummaging through stuff.
Linda: I may need to go get some supplies later but I should have most of the stuff I need laying around.
Liz: I don’t know about this…
Frame3: Liz looking at a complicated and dangerous looking contraption Linda pulled out of somewhere.
Linda: What could go wrong?
Liz: Um. I could die.
Linda: This is true. But anything is worth it in the name of science!
Frame4: Liz baking up towards the door.
Liz: Uh, thanks Linda. I think I am going to go ask some other people now.
Linda: Okay! I’ll call you when my machine is ready!
Page 9:
Frame1: Liz is sitting on the couch with Adrianna playing with the ferrets.
Liz: So you see, if I don’t get bigger they will come take me away.
Adrianna: Who will come take you away?
Liz: The Man.
Adrianna: That’s bad.
Frame2:
Liz: So do you think you can help me?
Adrianna: Maybe…
Page 10:
Frame1: View of a scientific looking diagram of a stick figure under the sun.
Adrianna: In theory all you need is sunlight to grow.
Frame2: View of a scientific looking diagram of a stick figure in a glowing box.
Adrianna: If we could figure out some way to magnify the properties of sunlight that promote growth you could grow the few inches you need in a couple hours.
Frame3: Adrianna and Liz on the couch.
Liz: I think you might be thinking about plants.
Adrianna: What?
Liz: It’s plants that grow a lot in sunlight.
Adrianna: Oh yeah…
Page 10:
Frame1:
Adrianna: Aww, I got confused again. I’ve been studying nothing but plants for so long that I forget not everything works the way it does for plants. I should stop studying when I’m so high…
Liz: That’s okay.
Frame2:
Adrianna: You could always become an outlaw and live on the run.
Liz: Is there candy on the run?
Adrianna: Sometimes.
Page 12: Lindsay sitting on the couch, empty tubs of ice cream and candy wrappers are scattered around her.
Caption: Meanwhile elsewhere…
Lindsay: Stupid Liz and her stupid mission. She’s supposed to be my minion, she’s not supposed to go off on her own. What if I wanted us to go on a mission today? Now I can’t. Dumb.
I’m bored!
I need entertainment. I am not left behind like that little wimpy kid that gets forgotten at the mall by his parents. Something must be done! I am going to find that midget and we are going to have the most hardcore adventure ever to be had!
Hah! I am so smart!

Page 16:
Frame1: Liz just staring up at Rob.
Frame2:
Liz: Why are you so tall?
Rob: Because I am tall.
Frame3:
Rob: Why are you so small?
Liz: I don’t know but I need to get bigger.
Page 17: Lindsay mesmerized by a giant glowing box Adrianna has built in her living room.
Lindsay: It’s so shiny…
Adrianna: I have developed the ultimate SAD light. Five minutes in here will keep you good for a month.
Lindsay: Or give you cancer…
Adrianna: That too.
Page 18:

Page 19: Lindsay bursting in Rob’s door.
Lindsay: Where’s my Midget?!
Rob: She just left. Please don’t kill me.
Lindsay: God Damnit.
Rob: Have some chocolate?

Page 21:

Lindsay: Damnit, how can someone so colorful be so hard to track down?
Liz: Your sulking left the couch all sticky.
Page 22: Liz sprouting petals on her head as she turns into a flower.
Lindsay: You know we were only joking about your size being illegal.
Liz: I hate you.
