Joseph,

I miss you. I know I said I wanted you to leave me alone, but I never once thought it would hurt more not to hear from you. It’s been a week since your last call. You left a message saying you’d never give up on me, that you would never settle to living with out me.

It took me three days to hear the message, I wanted to erase it but I couldn’t, just knowing I’d hear your voice send conflicting emotions through me. I guess it took three days for you to forget your promises, for you to give up.

Maybe you’ve decided Hector is the one for you? Maybe you’ve met someone knew. I have no right to demand anything from you. We broke up and I asked you to leave me alone. One should really be careful what they wish for.

I wish you the best Joseph, I still hurt, but I’ll try to keep all our good memories. You are my first love after all and what is first love with out heart break?
