A/N: This may not be a smart idea because I'm already writing four other stories and one more may make it worse but what can I say? I'm a writer, it's what I do. Anyways, here's a better summary.

Summary: A hero, a criminal and a mystery. For weeks, people are turning up dead but these people are rapists, murderers, criminals, if you will. Almost every night, bodies are found outside of the police station, ones that police have been tracking for a long time. But the one person who is causing this is being hunted and now being named a menace, a danger. What if this person were to turn its back on the innocent and start slaying them? Police are on the look out. The name the media has given this cloaked, horse riding stranger is Shadow because they blend in with the night that they hunt in.

There is a dark side to everything no matter if it is good or bad, bright or not. There is good to evil, light to dark. Where there is day, night will fall. Where there is God, there is Satan. Where there is a sun, a moon will rise to take its place. Where there is life, there is death. And where there is a villan, a hero shall come forth.

But is this hero known as friend or foe? To most, a friend, a miracle even. To some, a foe. The hero that has saved many, killed the criminals and helped the police, but unseen by them in doing so, is also known as a danger, a menace and a mystery. No matter how much it helps, murder is still a crime and punishment will ensue.

People fear that which they do not understand and no one understands the stalker of the night. Even the ones that call this person a friend are afraid. Wouldn't you be frightened? Wouldn't you be terrified of someone you didn't know, helping you but all along you wonder if this person will one day turn on you? What would happen if you came face to face with this person? Would you run and scream in terror? Would you trust them with your life since they have saved it? The people of this town are not sure what to do.

For one month, everyone has been calling this "hero" Shadow. Shadow has been killing almost all their victims, dumping the bodies in front of the police station. These victims are the predators that murder, rape, torture and abuse people just for the fun of it; the victims that police have been searching for. Now, Shadow is on their list. The only problem is, no one knows who this person is. They have never showed their face or any other part of the body. So only one real question remains.

How can you solve a mystery when all the clues point nowhere?
