Skye and Chastity decided to put their stuff away then just have a hotpocket for lunch. They we’re having fun together so far and had become close in the time they’d known each other. After just a couple days, they have discovered many common things between the two of them. From favorite shows to favorite shiny things, as odd as that sounds they enjoy shiny things. The two had been eating, while waiting for the others, when suddenly, Skye’s phone started to ring.
“Do you mind if I put it on speaker?” Skye asked since he didn’t want to face Serenity alone and Chastity answered with a nod. “Thank you”, he said gratefully and put his phone on speaker. “Yes, Serenity? Did you need something?” Skye said sounding sweet.
“Skye, honey, can you now tell me when you’re coming home?”
“But Serenity, I’ve only been here for a week” Skye said a bit harder to keep his voice sweet.
“But you told me you’d find out!” Serenity whined as Chastity covered her mouth with her hands as she tried as hard as she could not to laugh. “And I told you not to call me by my name anymore! What happened to my nickname?” Skye cringed as she said that.
“Well, my sweet honey pie”, Skye started and grimaced while starting.
Sweet honey pie?! You have GOT to be kidding me! There are better nicknames than that! Chastity thought and suddenly accidentally let out a small giggle before stopping. Oh shit. I hope she didn’t notice.
“Who was that?”
“What? Who was what?” Skye said looking panicked.
“I heard someone giggling. Was that a girl?” Serenity asked, starting to sound mad.
“No, It was me”, Skye quickly answered, saying the first thing that came to mind.
“Skye, you do NOT giggle and even if you did it wouldn’t sound like THAT”, Serenity argued.
“No, seriously it was! Watch”, Skye took a deep breath before doing his best at giggling like a girl and actually succeeding in sounding like one.
“Oh my GOD, since when can you do that?!” Serenity gasped as she started laughing.
“I guess it just comes… naturally”, Skye grumbled as he watched Chastity run out of the kitchen and see her laugh from outside the kitchen through the glass door.
“Oh well, I have to go! I’ll call you tonight to tell you good night!” Serenity said happily and once she was done, Skye hung up before letting her say a word after that in fear of her talking for even longer. She looked at Chastity as she walked in laughing and he glared at her.
“You just HAD to giggle”, he said.
“But YOU didn’t!” Chastity laughed as she sat back down on the seat across from him. “That was PRICELESS! I swear I would’ve died of laughter!”
“Shut up. It wasn’t that funny”, Skye replied, a smiling forming on his face from seeing Chastity laugh so much.
“But you’re smiling”, Chastity answered, after her laughing came to an end.
“What day is it today?” Erin asked as they got a bottle.
“It’s Friday, I think”, Chastity answered. “Why do you ask?”
“We should do this every Friday. Like, so that there’s a day where we’ll always see each other”, Erin suggested.
“That seems like a good idea. Where’s Ana?” Zeno asked.
“She is…” Hannah started as she tried to remember where her new roommate was when she came right through the doors,” right there.”
“Hey Ana you wanna come play truth or dare with us?” Skye asked as they all sat around a small table.
“Sure”, Ana answered as she sat down in between Erin and Zeno, to Erin’s dismay.
“Ok so the rules are, whoever the bottle points at has to pick either truth or dare”, Erin explained as she put the bottle in the middle.” I’ll spin it first and the one who is dared or asked a truth question can spin it afterwards.”
Erin leaned forward a little to spin the bottle and they waited. It span and span and span and it landed on… Chastity who didn’t look to happy to be the first person the bottle landed on.
“Chastity! Truth or dare?” Hannah asked.
God, if I pick truth then she’ll ask who I like. If I say dare she’ll make me do something with Skye, Chastity thought, debating in her head which she should pick. “Truth”, she sighed.
“Do you like someone?” Hannah asked and everyone looked at her.
“I had a feeling you’d say that. Right now I’m sort of confused whether I like this person or not”, Chastity said confidently.
“Who do you like?” Ana asked and everyone started hassling to get her to answer.
“Too bad, one question only”, Chastity retorted.
“Aw come one, Chas, tell us”, Skye pleaded.
“Chas? Since when do you call Chastity, Chas?” Zeno asked with a smirk and questioning eyes and everyone directed their attention to him.
“Today. What? I can’t call my best friend what I want?” Skye replied.
“Best friend? Whoa, what a big step forward!” Aaron whistled as everyone started to direct the attention to the two.
“Ok, ok, enough of badgering Skye. Let me spin the bottle already”, Chastity interrupted, saving Skye and spinning the bottle. After spinning for a couple seconds, it landed on… Matt which made all the girls attention go to him.
“Matt, truth or dare?” Hannah said eagerly hoping he’d pick dare.
“I’ll go with a dare”, Matt shrugged.
“Take your shirt off!” Erin shrieked and all the girls started egging him on to do so. He thought it was nothing and took it off. All the girls screamed at his visible body. He had nice abs, nice arms, and he has a nice smile to go with it. That’s what you’d expect from an athletic prodigy. All the girls whistled and hollered and the girls that passed by stared while the guys who passed looked at him jealously.
“I think I’m going to puke. Spin the bottle already, Matt”, Scott said as Matt started spinning. It spun for a while and when it finally stopped it stopped on Hannah. “Hannah? Truth or dare?”
“Dare”, Hannah said arrogantly.
“I have one!” Chastity said. “Kiss Scott on the lips!” Chastity smirked. Payback, Chastity thought.
“What?!” both Scott and Hannah screamed.
“It’s a dare!” Skye smirked.
“Ugh! I can’t believe I have to do this!” Hannah screamed.
“Come on, Hannah”, Ana said as she, Erin, and Chastity got her to stand up and move up to Scott, who the guys got to stand up and had to pin both his arms to the wall.
“Eww! I don’t want to do this! At least not with HIM!” Hannah shrieked as she was being pushed over to Scott.
“Just one little kiss, Hannah. It’s not going to kill you”, Erin said as they pushed her closer and closer to Scott.
“I can’t believe you’re all making us do this!” Scott screamed, trying to get away but had no effect against Matt’s, and, oddly, Zeno, Skye and Aaron’s strength.
“Okay Hannah, you gotta do this now”, Chastity said sweetly.
“Oh god EWWWWW!!” Hannah screamed when suddenly Erin pushed her head forward and Scott and her lips pressed against each other then she pulled away. “I can’t believe I just did that!! Oh my GOD!! EWWWWWW I CAN’T BELIEVE I KISSED THAT CHEAP ASS HOBO!!” Hannah screamed as she ran to the bathroom to wash her lips and the others let go of Scott.
“That was nasty!” Scott complained as he sat back down and Hannah came back and sat her place looking disgusted.
“I am SO going to get you all back”, Hannah muttered as she spun the bottle which landed on Skye. Hannah looked at Skye evilly and then smiled innocently. “Truth or dare, Skye?”
“I’m not picking dare cause I’m not-“
“Dare? Ok!” Hannah interrupted.
“Wait what?! I said I’m NOT picking-“
“Too bad!” Hannah interrupted again. “I dare you to call your girlfriend and keep her on the line until you fall asleep!” Hannah dared.
“Hannah no! Please! I beg of you ANYTHING but that!” Skye begged. “If she hears what’s going on she’ll go on the next flight here!”
“That would be interesting”, Hannah said.
“Hannah!”
“Too bad. I had to kiss the cheap bastard so you have to call your girlfriend”, Hannah said, her head held high.
“Please not that!” Skye begged as he went on his knees in front of Hannah.
“Not gonna work. Now go call her”, Hannah replied with no sympathy whatsoever.
“Hannah please!” Skye continued to beg and the whole group began to laugh at his pain.
“No, call her. Now”, Hannah ordered.
“Please please please! I’ll be your servant! I’ll do whatever you want!” Skye now looked at his friends for help, but found nothing.
“Call her”, Hannah once again ordered, starting to get annoyed. “Or I’ll do it for you and tell her that you’ve been talking to girls the whole time you’ve been here.”
“Hannah!! Nooo!! Fine!! You do anything to piss her off and make her come here and the next dare you have you’re doing it with Scott”, Skye hissed as he called Serenity and put it on speaker.
“Skye! Is it nighttime already?” Serenity said cheerfully.
“No, it isn’t. I just thought you’d like to listen to us play a game”, Skye said gritting his teeth.
“Oh sure! I’m not doing anything anyways. I’m just at home alone”, she replied.
“Oh joy you can stay”, Skye tried to say cheerfully.
“What are you playing?” Serenity asked curiously.
“Truth or dare”, he answered.
“You already made friends? That’s great!”
“Actually, they can hear you. I’m on speaker.”
“Really? Hi Skye’s friends! I’m Serenity, his girlfriend!” Serenity explained, her cheerfulness not changing one bit.
“Hi”, they all answered, trying to suppress laughter.
“So who’s turn is it?” Serenity asked.
“Actually, it’s Skye’s turn to spin the bottle”, Hannah said managing to say without laughing.
“Really? Well, Skye, spin the bottle!” Serenity ordered.
“Yeah yeah”, Skye sighed as he spinned the bottle. After about 5 seconds of spinning it once again landed on Chastity.
“Truth or dare, Chas?” Skye asked.
“I’ll be daring and say dare” Chastity said.
“I dare you to kiss your bestest friend in this group”, Hannah said, getting revenge for her earlier dare.
“What?!” both Skye and Chastity screamed.
“What’s wrong Skye?” Serenity asked.
“I-it’s nothing. It’s just…”, Skye trailed off.
“It just so happens that Skye is Chastity’s best friend so that means she has to kiss him”, Aaron pointed out.
“Really? Well Skye?” Serenity said, amusement in her voice.
“You’re going to let me kiss her?! But wouldn’t that be considered cheating?!” Skye screamed in disbelief.
“But I give you permission to kiss her now do it”, Serenity replied her perkiness still yet to fault.
“You have got to be kidding me. Seriously she’s my best friend. I can’t just kiss her out of nowhere”, Skye sighed.
“But you won’t be kissing her out of nowhere. She knows you’re going to kiss her and why”, Matt pointed out.
“But, but, but…”, was all Skye could say trying as fast as he could to think of another excuse.
“Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!” their whole group, including Serenity, chanted louder and louder as Chastity and Skye looked at each other.
“What do we do?” Chastity asked.
“I don’t even know what we should do”, Skye sighed.
“How about we make it really really quick?” Chastity suggested, as it was probably their only way out.
“Do we have a choice?” Skye asked rhetorically as they stood a little bit closer. Their faces getting closer and closer as their lips touched for only a second before they pulled away, both red in the face. The whole whistled and applauded once the kiss was over.
After another hour of truth or dare and another 2 hours of watching TV and other things, everyone decided to call it quits and they all went to their rooms with Skye sighing saying he’ll sleep. Sleeping was his only way of getting out of talking to Serenity and he was tired so he decided to sleep. Aaron and Zeno followed him and they all fell asleep. Scott and Matt, who shared a room, went to their room to try to figure out what to do without a TV in their room. After talking to Zeno for a little while, Erin decided she was going to stay with the other 3 girls since she was alone in her room. Ana, Chastity, and Hannah moved their beds around so Erin could sleep on the floor and all started to discuss what had happened.
“So how did kissing Scott feel?” Erin said mockingly as she and the other two girls started to laugh.
“I bet you enjoyed kissing Zeno, when we dared you because you didn’t complain when Scott dared you!” Hannah retorted.
“W-what?! Why would I enjoy kissing him?!” Erin said back blushing.
“Because you just turned 10 different shades of red”, Ana laughed.
“Well what about Skye and Chastity?” Erin said trying to change the subject and Chastity chocked on the smoothie she got before going upstairs.
“What?!” Chastity chocked out and Ana pat her back to help soothe her coughing. “What about us?” Chastity asked coughing again before finally stopping.
“You know what they say about relationships being better if they start out as friends”, Hannah replied.
“And you two are best friends making it even better”, Erin added.
“Well he’s taken and I don’t feel that way about him”, Chastity sighed.
“Why do you keep denying it? You know you like him and you of all people should know that he doesn’t want to be with Serenity”, Ana asked.
“I’m not denying anything and it doesn’t matter if he likes Serenity or not, he’s still with her”, Chastity answered.
“Do you have another boyfriend or something?” Erin questioned.
“No, I don’t”, Chastity replied quietly. “I did, but now I don’t.”
“Oh my god. Does Skye know?” Ana gasped.
“He knows I had a boyfriend, but he doesn’t know about him, though, because I don’t want him to know about him. My old boyfriend is in my past now”, Chastity sighed.
“Who was he? What was he like?” Hannah asked.
“His name was Ayden Ryder. He was a really nice guy, my parents loved him, my friends loved him, my family loved him, I loved him. His parents loved me, his friends loved me, his family loved me, he loved me. That was probably all that mattered at the time”, Chastity explained.
“So what happened? If everyone loved you two together then what happened?” Erin asked.
“For now I’ll keep that to myself. I’m tired and I’ll just tell you all tomorrow”, Chastity yawned as she lay on her bed and went to sleep staring at the wall, her back faced to them.
“Fine then don’t tell us”, Hannah said irritated.
“I wonder what happened”, Ana whispered so that Chastity couldn’t hear them.
“They probably got into a fight or something and broke up. I want to know though”, Erin said as she leaned back to get Chastity’s bag and look through it.
“Hey isn’t this against the law or something?” Ana asked.
“Nah, it’s just against privacy or some shit like that”, Hannah replied as they looked through her wallet and saw a picture of her and some other people. Someone was standing behind her, arms around her waist, with spiky black hair and equally black eyes, a piercing on his left ear, right eyebrow, and right side of his lip. To the left and right of them some more couples were near them with 2 on each side sitting on the sand they were standing on and some other guys looking like they were just messing around.
“Oh my god, this guy was her boyfriend and their friends?!” Erin shouted and Hannah covered her mouth as Ana told her to shut up.
“Shh! Erin you’re gonna get us caught!” Hannah whispered harshly.
“Sorry”, Erin whispered. “Well anyways, they all looked really close. I wonder what happened?”
“I don’t know, but it’s getting late. Are you guys ready to sleep? I’m tired”, Ana said before yawning.
“Yeah, it’s already 4 in the morning. No wonder Chastity fell asleep on us”, Erin yawned.
“Well let’s put this stuff back then go to sleep”, Hannah suggested as they all got up to put things in their right places. Hannah and Ana went back to their beds as Erin went back to her spot on the floor.
After having a sandwich at the OR (tourists think that the OR means operation room instead of Ocean Rider’s) the whole group hung around the lobby watching TV and just talking. After an hour of that, a pretty girl with long light brown hair came in. She looked lost so Erin decided to help her.
“Excuse me, but you look pretty lost. My name is Erin. Do you need any help?” Erin asked.
“Yeah, do you happen to know where room 6 is?” the girl asked. “I’m Sarah and I’m kind of new to this place.”
“Don’t worry, everyone in our building so far is”, Erin answered. “How many bags do you have?”
“Seven”, the girl said shyly.
“Seven? That’s not bad. Hannah over there brought at least 15 bags”, Erin explained pointing at Hannah.
During all of this, Skye had stared at the Sarah and stopped listening to what Chastity was talking about. He was suddenly mesmerized in this new girl and felt his heart skip a beat as he watched Erin talk to her.
“Can one of you guys help us bring this stuff up?” Erin shouted from her spot a couple feet away.
“I’ll help!” Skye shouted as he got up and ran toward them. He looked at Sarah and smiled as he put his hand out, “Hi, I’m Skye.”
Sarah looked at Skye, shook his hand, and smiled back, “Hi Skye, I’m Sarah.”
From her seat, Chastity watched jealously. Skye looked like a love struck puppy and seemed to be in love at first sight.
“Skye I’ll be at OR getting a smoothie did you want something?” Chastity asked as she walked up to him.
“Um… sure, I’ll be there in 5 minutes”, Skye replied, not even looking at her.
And with that Skye left with the two other girls. Chastity watched sadly until they disappeared from sight. After staying in her spot, she walked outside to OR and ordered Skye’s favorite smoothie, the berry mix. She took a seat and sighed inwardly.
I wonder if he’ll really show?, Chastity thought doubtfully.
Meanwhile, Skye had helped Sarah as Erin went back downstairs to join the others. Skye had offered to help her set up everything in her new room.
“Wow we’re done already?” Skye asked rhetorically.
“Apparently. So what’s there to do on this island?” Sarah asked cheerfully.
“There’s a lot to do. You want a tour of the island? I can bring you around in my motorcycle if you want”, Skye offered.
“Sure. Don’t you think it’ll take a whole day to go around the whole island though?”
“Nah. If we go fast enough, we can go around in an hour flat”, Skye explained.
“Ok. Let’s go!”
“That was fun. Thanks for showing me around, Skye”, Sarah thanked shyly.
“It was no problem. Do you wanna go get a smoothie at OR?” Skye asked.
“OR? Do you mean like at the hospital?” Sarah asked confused.
“No. OR is short for Ocean Rider, which is the small smoothie place outside Clouds”, Skye laughed.
“Clouds? What’s that?” Sarah asked.
“Our apartment building is called Cloud apartments so we just call it Clouds for short”, Skye explained.
“You guys practically have your own language here!” Sarah exclaimed as Skye laughed at her words.
“Yeah I guess we do”, Skye agreed as they walked over to OR.
“Hey Skye, you totally ditched Chastity”, the guy at the register said.
“What’d you say, Rav?” Skye asked. Rav is short Ravi, OR’s owner. He knew EVERYONE who lived on the island and everyone knew who he was.
“You ditched Chastity”, he repeated. “She waited here for like an hour before she decided to go. She said she was waiting for you.”
“Oh shit! I forgot that I was supposed to meet her here!” Skye realized. “Hey, Sarah, I’ll see you later. Sorry I have to leave so suddenly like this, but I got to go.”
“It’s ok. I’ll go get a smoothie for now”, Sarah said.
“Thanks, talk to you later”, Skye said as he started to run into Clouds and up the stairs to stop at Chastity’s door and knock.
“Come in!” he heard Hannah scream from inside and he opened the door to see the girls in the room reading magazines or a book.
“Chastity I am SO sorry for ditching you like that!” Skye said apologetically. “I just got so caught up in Sarah that-“
“It’s ok, Skye, I understand”, Chastity said, faking a smile.
UGH!! How do you tell your best friend that you’re falling for him?!, Chastity screamed inside.
Skye noticed there was another girl in the room and asked, “Who’s that?”
“Oh, Skye, this is my best friend Constance. We haven’t seen each other in ages, but I’ve known her for a long time since she’s a family friend.
“Oh, well, nice to meet you, Constance. I’m Skye”, Skye said.
“Hi”, she said with a smile her face. Skye then turned back to Chastity.
“Chas, I’ll make it up to you, I swear. How about we go to the mall and grab some garlic fries. I’ll pay and it’ll be all you can eat”, Skye said.
“Hmm… one of my favorite foods and for free… duh I’ll go”, Chastity replied, a real smile dawning her pretty face.
“Great. Do you wanna go now?”
“Sure. Let’s go.”
“Buy us some food too!” Hannah, Erin, and Ana screamed in unison as they closed the door.
“Are we walking or taking your motorcycle?” Chastity asked as they walked down the stairs.
“You pick. It doesn’t matter”, Skye responded.
“Let’s take your motorcycle”, Chastity picked. “It’s faster and we wouldn’t have to buy those three food”, Chastity laughed.
“That’s true”, Skye laughed with her.
When they got to the mall they headed to the food court and straight to World’s Greatest Fries. Chastity excitedly dragged Skye to the long line and they waited. After 15 minutes of waiting in line, they finally got to the front.
“Welcome to World’s Greatest Fries. What would you like on this fine day?” the lady at the register said politely and with an obviously fake smile.
“Two large garlic fries and two large chili fries”, Skye answered.
“Is that all?” the lady asked.
“Chas is that all you want?” Skye asked looking at Chastity.
“Um… can you make that seven large garlic fries and 4 large chili fries?” Chastity asked.
“Sure. Is that all?” the lady asked again.
“Yeah”, Skye answered taking out his wallet.
“Would that be for here or to go?”
“To go”, Chastity answered.
“Your total is 1,250 blets exactly.”
Skye looked at his wallet and found that he only had dollars and sighed. “Do you guys accept a debt card?”
“Yes, we do.”
“Ok then I’ll pay through that”, Skye said, sliding his card on the small machine next to the register.
“ID please?”
“Hold on.” Skye once looked through his wallet and found his motorcycle license.
