Novocain

These tears are mutiny

A show of weakness

-Smile like you always do-

Rock back and forth

-Smile like you always do-

It’s beautiful-all so fake-

I’m showing them what I keep inside

Look at my heroes

They won’t leave you

They can’t

-No-

Don’t leave me

-Smile like you always do-

In this church all alone

Crying for no reason

For everything

-Smile like you always do-

She can’t make you leave it

I want my music to stay

You can’t take it away

I stare at my calendar

With my three heroes

Take my iPod out of hiding

And press play

Turn it up

Till I can feel liquid in my ears

Listening to my song

The one my heroes wrote for me

My mother can never take this away

But if she does I know one thing

There goes my Novocain

No pain killer would help

I’d die alone in my room

-Smiling like I always do-
