Stare out the window
wish I could see
why the word's like this,
and why, oh why, me?
I want to make a difference
but I don't know where to start.
I still don't know the right from the wrong
and which one is my heart.
-
I wish I could be strong,
have a sense that I belong.
I wish I could change the way you see,
change the way you want to be.
I wish I could put away your cry,
guess all I need to do, is go ahead and try.
-
I'm sitting here by myself
staring out at the great above.
I'm crying to the skies, pleading
where can I find love?
Must I search so far and wide?
Must I look all over the place?
So many questions in life,
and so many things to face.
-
I wish I could be strong,
have a sense that I belong.
I wish I could change the way you see,
change the way you want to be.
I wish I could put away your cry,
guess all I need to do, is go ahead and try.
-
In this every-changing world,
this planet of so much hate.
I'm going to look for some good,
look for my destiny, my fate.
I'm going to make a difference
even if you think I'm a little strange.
I'm so done with labels and all that,
'Cause I'm going to help the world change.
-
I'm going to be strong,
have a sense that I belong.
I'm going to change the way you see,
change the way you want to be.
I'm going to put down your cry,
all I got to do, is go ahead and try.
