Making Memories of Us

Author’s Note: Okay, this one shot, if I can even call them that, but anyways, it takes place the next morning. Oh, I noticed something in the last chapter. I am horrible about editing, but I said “Me and Nic are as good as friends as me and Chelsea”. I wanted to write we’re as good as friends as Chelsea and Jamie in the stories. I was tired while writing. I was babysitting all day.

Story Title: The Morning After

(On With The Story)

Jamie opened his eyes slowly as the sun poured in from the window on the right. He quickly closed his eyes and rolled over with a groan trying to escape the sun. He felt like crap. He slowly sat up and opened his eyes once again. Panic filled him when he realized he was not in his room. He looked around and couldn’t place the room or the bed he was sleeping in. He’d never been in whoever’s room he was in before in his life.

The bed spread was a navy blue and the room was clearly a guy’s room, but it had a classical look to it. Flashes from the night before slowly entered his mind. He could see a man with beautiful green eyes talking to him and then they were dancing. He groaned as the rest of the night came back to him. How could he have asked a perfect stranger to take him back to his place? He flopped back on the bed and covered his eyes.

“You okay?” a voice asked from the door way and Jamie looked up.

The man from the pub was standing at the foot of the bed now and he looked concerned. Jamie had to admit he was an extremely good looking man. He had emerald green eyes and his hair seemed to be naturally curly and dark black. He looked almost perfect in Jamie’s opinion.

“Yeah,” Jamie replied hoarsely. “I think I’m just a bit hung over.”

“I thought you would be,” the man said and sat down at the edge of the bed. “If you don’t remember me from last name, I’m Bryan Matthews.”

Jamie gave him a small smile and then looked down at the bedspread.

“I remember that much, but tell me, did we do anything last night?” Jamie asked feeling a blush rise to his cheeks.

“No,” Bryan said shaking his head. “I don’t make it my habit to have one night stands. Particularly drunken one night stands.”

Jamie sighed and felt a wave of relief wash over him. He was glad it was this man he had hit on the night before and not some jerk.

“Thank you so much,” Jamie said. “I don’t usually go around picking up men anywhere I can. I drank a bit too much last night with my friends before I went to the pub I met you at.”

Bryan smiled and moved to sit beside him.

“Trust me, I understand. When I told my friends I was gay I was tempted to turn into that bird that buries its head in the sand. I forget what’s it’s called but anyways, I brought you here because I didn’t want some other guy taking you back to his place and hurting you,” Bryan told him. “You were way too drunk to be left at the pub alone.”

Jamie smiled and nodded.

“I know,” he said. “This is going to be a funny story to tell my friends later on. I got my first kiss with a man, and I was drunk and hardly remember it.”

“That was the first time you kissed a man,” Bryan asked him shocked.

“Yeah,” Jamie said looking down with a blush again.

The guy was way too cute, he thought. If he wasn’t so hung over he’d be flirting with him again.

“Then you are a natural at it,” Bryan told him with a smile. “One of the best kisses I’ve ever had.”

Jamie looked up at him in shock.

“You’re kidding right?” Jamie asked him.

“No I’m not,” Bryan said with a smile.

Bryan couldn’t help but find the boy adorable. He’d been so forward with his attraction the night before, but this morning he was a totally different person. He was so shy and unsure of himself and Bryan couldn’t help but find himself hopelessly attracted to him.

“Matter of fact, let me show you,” Bryan heard himself saying and he slowly leaned towards a shocked Jamie.

Jamie’s eyes went wide as he felt Bryan’s lips pressed against his. He didn’t know this man, and the man had made it clear he didn’t like being with strangers yet here he was kissing him in his own bedroom. Then suddenly Jamie didn’t care what was going on as he kissed Bryan back and wrapped his arms around his neck. He groaned as Bryan deepened the kiss into something more passionate.

“Wow,” was all Jamie said as Bryan slowly pulled away a few seconds later.

“Yeah, I feel the same,” Bryan said with a smile. “You should go take a shower; it’ll make part of the hang over go away. And, you’re almost my size. You could borrow some of my clothes if you want.”

“You don’t mind,” Jamie asked.

“It’s no big deal,” Bryan said with a shrug and Jamie nodded.

“Alright,” he said and got out of the bed.

He followed Bryan as he showed him where the bathroom was and leaned against the door after Bryan shut it. He could hardly believe how nice the guy was being. He didn’t know many people who would let a stranger stay over at his house because he was drunk, let them sleep in his bed, and then give them a shower and a pair of clothes to wear. The man was almost too perfect to be true.

He walked towards the tub and turned on the shower and climbed in. He only wished he could convince Bryan to get to know him after that kiss. It was amazing.

Bryan walked towards his kitchen and started to make some omelets. He was sure Jamie would be hungry after he got out of the shower. He smiled and felt his mind wander to the young boy, or man. Bryan wasn’t sure how old he was, but he was definitely hoping he was at least eighteen. He wasn’t lying when he said he didn’t believe in one night stands. Not after something that happened to an ex-boyfriend of his. But there was something about Jamie he was incredibly attracted to, even this early into him meeting him. It was quite possibly the innocent look in the boy’s eyes, as if he couldn’t hurt him even if he tried.

He would definitely make a point of trying to get to know him better, the guy was incredibly adorable, and not to mention one hell of a kisser.

A few minutes later he heard the bathroom door open.

“Umm, Bryan, about those clothes you were going to let me borrow,” Jamie’s voice called out hesitantly.

“Oh, right, sorry Jamie,” Bryan said with a laugh and put the omelets on their plates. “But, if you want to, I wouldn’t mind if you came to breakfast in just a towel.”

Jamie’s face went bright red at Bryan’s teasing and he tried to come up with a reply but couldn’t.

“I was just joking,” Bryan told him gently as he came up to him with a pair of pants and a button up t-shirt. “I would be shocked if you even attempted it.”

Jamie gave Bryan a smiled and took the clothes.

“Maybe next time,” Jamie said with a wink surprising Bryan who laughed.

“Sounds like a promise to me,” Bryan told him and leaned down to give him a quick kiss and then walked back towards the kitchen.

Jamie quickly got dressed and followed the smell of breakfast into the kitchen. He was surprised to see Bryan setting out glasses of juice for them and that he had made omelets.

“Wow, this smells great,” Jamie said.

“Thanks,” Bryan said and smiled at him.

He was surprisingly comfortable with the younger man being in his home. Normally if he was dating someone he preferred to go to their place. He didn’t like sharing his home with anyone. Not since he and his first boyfriend broke up. He just liked having the privacy.

Jamie quickly dug into the breakfast and decided that if he ever ate another omelet it would have to be one made by Bryan. He had never tasted an omelet that was so good.

“Where did you learn to cook?” Jamie asked him eventually.

“I dated a chef at one point,” Bryan said with a smile. “I’d always wanted to learn to cook but my father felt it wasn’t a man’s job to know how to cook, so I was never allowed to learn. I told my boyfriend about my wanting to cook and he started giving me lessons. That was how we hooked up.”

Jamie noticed the smile on Bryan’s face and looked back down at his plate. He wondered if he’d be able to remember his exes so fondly.

“How old are you Jamie?” Bryan asked him suddenly.

“I just turned eighteen,” Jamie said with a grin. “Why?”

“Just wondering,” Bryan said with a smile.

He is too cute, Jamie thought to himself as he went back to his breakfast. The guy was practically irresistible. Jamie sighed and got back up from the table and slowly walked over to where Bryan was sitting.

“Sorry if I’m annoying you, but I have to get this out of my system,” Jamie said and leaned down to capture Bryan’s lips in a fierce kiss.

Bryan leaned up and kissed him back just as fiercely and slowly pulled Jamie into his lap so he could deepen the kiss. He had no idea what it was about this guy but he was practically addicting.

“Is it out of your system yet,” Bryan asked his as he pulled away from the kiss.

“Not really,” Jamie told him shakily.

“Yeah, me neither,” Bryan replied and kissed him again, but then put him down slowly.

“What?” Jamie asked.

“Just think we need to cool it a bit, we just met and you admitted that I was your first kiss with a guy, so obviously you’ve never been with a guy, and so I think we should take it slow,” Bryan told him.

“But you are saying you want to try and be together for a while?” Jamie asked him hopefully.

“Definitely,” Bryan told him and Jamie grinned widely.

Jamie kissed him again, and Bryan suddenly felt his argument for taking it slow with Jamie disappear. Jamie was climbing back into his lap and kissing him deeply and Bryan found he could only return the kisses.

“Jamie, you do know what you’re starting here right?” Bryan asked hoarsely.

“Yeah, I know,” Jamie told him. “And it’s what I want. I know I just met you, and I may seem like a whore for doing this, but I just feel as if it’s okay, that I can trust you, and that I won’t regret this.”

“Are you sure,” Bryan asked.

“Completely,” Jamie told him and Bryan leaned forward to kiss him.

“Alright,” he said and carried him to the bedroom.
