A moment not unlike God herself

looking right:
i see you’re all strapped in
and bringing your insanity along for the ride
did you pack the lucky strikes?
we’re going to need them.
something about this route
so perversely flat
like an operating table
or a mirror,
both make me shiver
not unlike your hands-
just making conversation.
look left:
it’s the worlds largest ball of yarn
will it fit in the trunk?
or is it cemented into the ground?
the breaks have gone out
i think
let me check
yep they’ve gone alright
you know what that means.
look ahead:
looks like a brick wall
funny,
from a distance
it kind of looked like a sunrise.
