September 2, 1945. 26 days after the bombing of Hiroshima & 23 days after the bombing of Nagasaki, Japan officially surrenders from World War II. The horrors of the atomic holocaust Japan's people had experienced discourage them from pushing on with the war. However; they had also seen an advantage from the radiation. Mutations had occurred with the children of the victims of pikadon (atom bomb). After the war, giant monsters & robots that nobody knew came from constantly came to attacks many of the big cities of Japan. Japan decided to make a weapon; a human enhanced & mutated by radiation to make it faster, stronger, and more agile. For nearly a decade (with financial & technological help from the Americans) they began growing the Radiation Enhanced Fighting Unit; also known as R.E.F.U.
